Indian conspiracies against CPEC would be foiled, affirms interior minister
QUETTA - Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal asserted on Friday that Indian was hatching conspiracies against the multi-billion Dollars China Pakistan Economic corridor enlisting the help of Afghanistan.

The minister, while inaugurating the first Executive Passport Office of Quetta, warned the Indian leadership that all such conspiracies would be foiled with the support of the people of Pakistan and that the mega project would be made successful.

“We are ready to face Indians in every sector,” declared Iqbal.

Commenting on RAW spy Kulbhushan Jadhav’s meeting with his family, he said Pakistan allowed the meeting purely on humanitarian grounds.

"In return, the Indian army violated the Line of Control and opened unprovoked firing that resulted in the martyrdom of three Pakistani soldiers," Ahsan added.

He clarified that the desire for peace should not be considered Pakistan's weakness.

The lawmaker also expressed his views regarding the national reconciliation ordinance (NRO), visible on the cards (with CM Punjab in Saudi Arabia and Nawaz Sharif likely to jet off tomorrow) saying it was the PPP which struck the NRO with Pervaiz Musharraf and PML-N will never take it.

Iqbal reiterated that the policy of sit-in must come to an end as it will damage the country economically and politically. He also urged Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to abandon his sit-in plan to save the country from further damage.

Talking about the new facility Iqbal said the government has set up the passport office to provide facilities to the people according to international standards.

He added that male and female applicants would be dealt with separately.

Balochistan’s Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, Home Secretary Dr Muhammad Akbar Harifal, Director General NADRA Balochistan Mir Ajam Khan Durrani, IG Police Moazzam Jah Ansari and other senior officials of the passport office also accompanied the minister.
