He was addressing a two-day Pakistan-UK International Seminar on “sharing experience in stabilization and peace efforts” in Islamabad, Radio Pakistan reported.

The minister said that certain countries used to blame Pakistan for everything, even for their own weaknesses. He said Pakistan has achieved huge successes in Operation Zarb-e-Azb due to which a clear decline has been witnessed in terrorism.

He urged the international community to support Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts. The minister added that the international community must differentiate between freedom movements and terrorist activities, and it should not link terrorism with Islam.

He said that Islam is the religion of 1.2 billion people across the world, who are the worst sufferers of the scourge of terrorism.

He said Pakistan played the role of a frontline state in curbing terrorism, but only received verbal support from international community.

He said that Pakistan has achieved goals during last three and half years were the result of better coordination between civil-military leadership and support from all segments of society against terrorism.
