The educational program of Benazir Bhutto Youth Development program has come under attack for the ‘sexist’ and discriminatory choices of courses it offers to each gender.
The courses, being offered in Memon Industrial & Technical Institute (MITI) have been accused of being sexist in nature and promoting ‘stereotypical’ and discriminatory limitations for women.
Social media users accused the program of being sexist in its nature as soon as the list of courses surfaced on social media.
Hello Senator @sherryrehman
Just wanted to ask about the stereotypes being promoted by this program? Don't you feel this is regressive? pic.twitter.com/4evWAF26Bn— Zoya Polaris (@AnwerNaqvi) July 20, 2017
While the course aims to train underprivileged Pakistani youth, the fact that only 8 courses are being offered for women as compared to 20 being offered for men is being seen as sexist and stereotypical.
@BBhuttoZardari @AseefaBZ it's 21st century & Benazir Bhutto Youth Development Prog offers courses on basis of gender discrimination. Sad pic.twitter.com/O3bovFfUTf

I mean I can get the "can't change everything at once" argument but many of the male only ones are already completely acceptable for women
