JIT formed to investigate Pathankot attack

LAHORE: (Staff Reporter) – Punjab government has formed a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe into Pathankot attack.

According to sources, the JIT will investigate the Pathankot incident in view of the FIR registered in Gujranwala. The same committee will also investigate the incident in collaboration with the Indian officials.

The JIT comprises on five members and will be headed by Police AIG Rai Tahir.

The other members will be Intelligence Bureau (IB) Lahore Deputy Director Muhammad Azeem Arshad, Lt. Col. Tanvir Ahmad and Lt. Col. Irfan Mirza from an intelligence agency, and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Inspector Shahid Tanvir.
