Nazimabad majlis attack leaves five dead, several injured

KARACHI - At least five people were killed and several others were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire at a Majlis taking place at a house in the Nazimabad No.4 area of the city on Saturday.

Police said unidentified gunmen riding two motorcycles opened indiscriminate firing at the majlis taking place at the residence of a man identified as Dr Asad.

The attackers fled the scene after the assault.

The deceased and injured have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital while security personnel have reached the site.

According to initial police investigation, 9mm pistols were used.
