Kot Lakhpat man broke wife's arm for not being able to meet princely dowry demands

LAHORE (Web Desk) - A man brutally tortured and critically injured his wife in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat area after she was unable to meet his princely dowry demands.

According to reporrs, Muhammad Ijaz, resident of Chungi Amar Sidhu, filed a complaint stating that he married his daughter, Faiza, to Tahir, a resident of the same area, a few months ago. He alleged that his son-in-law asked his wife to bring with her a motorcycle and other electronic items, only few days after marriage.

But upon Faiza's refusal, Tahir began torturing her with an iron rod. “The accused also broke my daughter’s arms,” he said.

Police have registered a case and arrested the accused for further investigation.
