ISLAMABAD - Condemning the violence against Rohingya Muslim community in Myanmar, Pakistan's Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has urged her fellow laureate Aung San Suu Kyi to denounce the inhumane treatment in her country.
Malala Yousafzai took to Twitter on Sunday following the news of upsurge violence in the Southeast Asian country where ethnic attacks claimed over 400 lives, besides forcing Muslim minority to flee towards Bangladesh.
In her tweet, she said: "Every time I see the news, my heart breaks at the suffering of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar".
Calling for ending the violence, she questioned: "If there home is not Myanmar, where they have lived for generation, the where is it?"
Malala said she have repeatedly condemned "tragic and shameful treatment," adding, "I am still waiting for my fellow Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi to do the same".
"The world is waiting and the Rohingya Muslims are waiting [for Suu Kyi to condemn the violence]," the girls' education advocate tweeted.
Suu Kyi was awarded Nobel Peace Prize in 1991 and is known worldwide for her decades-long struggle for democracy in her country.

In the open market, the US dollar was being quoted at 278.4 for buying and 281.4 for selling.
Euro moves down to 299.75 for buying and 302.75 for selling while British Pound hovers around 353.75 for buying, and 357.25 for selling.
UAE Dirham AED remains stable at 75.55 whereas the Saudi Riyal saw minor increase, with new rates at 73.70.
