NEW YORK (APP) – Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi has urged the international community to take notice of millions of Afghan refugees living in Pakistan for the last four decades.

In a statement issued from New York, she said the issue should be discussed during the current summit of the United Nations on refugees.

Maleeha Lodhi said that the arrival of refugees in Pakistan had created various socio-political problems in the country.

On the occasion, she stressed the need for enhancing aid for countries that hosted migrants.
