New airport must match any modern airport globally: PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD - The Prime Minister on Monday said that the capital rightly deserves an airport which must match any modern airport the world over," adding that the Islamabad airport must be completed on the lines of a truly modern airport having all the requisite facilities.

PM said this while chairing a meeting regarding the constitution of new Islamabad airport here at PM House this morning.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the overall design, link roads and interior designing of the new Islamabad airport.

The Prime Minister directed that quality link roads must be constructed to the new airport for ensuring easy and speedy access.

"This must be a state-of-the art airport with our cultural diversity reflected prominently in its interior designing", said the Prime Minister.

The meeting was also attended by Secretary Finance,Secretary and DG aviation Chairman NHA, Mayor of Islamabad and other senior officials of the government.
