Notification of increase in salaries, pensions of civil servants issued

ISLAMABAD: The Federal government on Friday notified the increase in salaries and pensions of civil servants from July 1st.

According to the notification, three ad-hoc relief allowances of 2013, 2014, and 2015 will be merged into the basic pays of the employees. An ad-hoc relief allowance for the year 2016 at the rate of 10 percent of the running basic pay will also be added to employees' salaries.

Meanwhile, the government also notified an increase in the amount paid to pensioners of the federal government. A 10 percent increase in net pension has been sanctioned for all civil pensioners of the federal government.

However, all federal government civil pensioners, who are 85 years old or more, will be given a 25 per cent increase.

The government also notified the grant of an M.Phil allowance at 2500 rupees per month with effect from July 1st.
