Official: Govt announces holiday on March 23

ISLAMABAD - On Wednesday the federal government declared March 23 (Thursday) as a public holiday to mark Pakistan Day.

All offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, schools, colleges, universities, high courts, session courts, civil courts, banking courts, consumer courts, service tribunals and other courts including State Bank of Pakistan, National Bank of Pakistan, all scheduled banks and stock exchanges will observe March 23 as a public holiday, said a notification.

The governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and Sindh have also announced that March 23 will be a holiday on the occasion of Pakistan day. It was notified by Establishment Department here on Wednesday.
