KARACHI (Staff Report) – Pakistan army on Wednesday handed over modern weapons and other sophisticated combating apparatus to Sindh Police in a ceremony held at Karachi Corps Headquarters.

All of the gadgets have been locally produced at Pakistan Ordinance Factory.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the Sindh Police Inspector General Gulam Haider Jamali received the equipment which included automatic arms, bulletproof jackets, helmets and protection shields.
Earlier Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif announced to provide Sindh Police with modern weapons in a meeting of provincial apex committee where Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah complained the police did not have sufficient weapons and machinery to fight militants.
