NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit in New Delhi has received death threats after the cross-border tension between India and Pakistan flared here on Thursday.

Earlier, Indian Ministry of External Affairs again summoned Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit in New Delhi and handed him over the so-called proofs of the Uri attack.

Basit rejected the so-called Indian allegations in the strongest term, terming the Indian evidence “a pack of lies”.

He also asked India to stop levelling allegations without proofs.

Earlier, as many as two Pakistani soldiers were martyred as India resorted on unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the ISPR said on Thursday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian forces violated ceasefire in Bhimbher, Lipa and Keel sectors, targeting Pakistani positions earlier this day. A Pakistani citizen was also injured by the Indian firing.
