ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan says the 3G internet service has been launched in Tehsil Khawar in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Khan said in a tweet Monday that another commitment has been fulfilled to bring the tribal areas into national mainstream with the launching of the 3G internet services.

“Last Friday in the jalsa I had promised the people of Bajaur 3G service,” he added.

He added, “Now 3G service has been launched in Tehsil Khawar in Bajaur.”

Earlier this month, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) achieved another milestone by connecting the erstwhile incommunicado tribal districts of Pakistan with the world by inaugurating 3G and 4G cellular services.

The cellular service was inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan along with federal and provincial cabinet members at a ceremony.
