PM Nawaz condemns Peshawar suicide attack

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned an attack on Frontier Corps’ vehicle at Hayatabad, Peshawar today that resulted in the martyrdom of two security officials.

According to a statement issued by the PM House, Nawaz Sharif expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of Major Jamal Sheran in the attack and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and for courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

The premier directed the authorities to hunt down the perpetrators of this heinous act and bring them to justice. He also directed the Provincial government to provide best medical treatment to the injured.

‘Such elements deserve no mercy and will meet their fate soon in view of the unflinching and united resolve of the entire nation against terrorism and extremism’ the statement added.

The condemnation was issued in the backdrop of a suicide attack in the close vicinity of a Frontier Constabulary (FC) vehicle near Bagh-e-Naran Chowk in Hayatabad, Peshawar on Monday (today).

The suicide bomber was riding a bike when he detonated his explosives targeting a convoy of the FC going to the headquarters in Qila Bala Hisar from Hayatabad. Major Jamal among two killed in the blast.
