SUKKUR (Staff Report) – Senior PPP leader and leader of the opposition in national assembly Syed Khursheed Shah Saturday welcomed Indian Prime Narendra Modi’s surprise visit Lahore adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should take parliament into confidence over visit.

Talking to newsmen in Sukkur, Shah said that Nawaz Sharif should also inform other political parties and parliament what the two leaders discussed in Friday meeting. PPP welcomes the meeting and supports any positive development towards improvement of ties with India, he said.

Responding to a question he went on to say that Pakistan and India are two neighbours and they must learn to cooperate with each other.

To a question about Rangers’ special powers in Karachi, he once again urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to avoid any rifts with provincial governments while terming the move an attack on Sindh government.
