Political administration extends SWA IDPs repatriation deadline

WANA (APP) - The Political administration has extended the deadline for repatriation of Operation Rah-e-Nijat-affected people to May 28, saying that the decision has been taken in view of the number of returning families.

According to the political administration, the third phase of repatriation of of South Waziristan’s displaced population started on April 11 and was due for completion on May 13 but the deadline had been extended due to the number of returning families.

Tribesmen of Tehsil Sararogha would be repatriated to their respective areas from May 16 to May 18 while repatriation to areas of Tehsil Tiarza would start from May 24 to May 25.

Similarly displaced families of Tehsil Ladha would be send home from May 25 to May 28.

Meanwhile children of returning families were administered anti polio drops and given gifts by the political administration and Army.
