PTI lawmaker sold vote in Senate elections for Rs 80m, claims brother

PESHAWAR  - The brother of Nagina Khan, PTI's provincial lawmaker, has alleged that the ruling party in  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was deeply involved in horse trading for the recently conducted Senate elections.

Ayan Khan, whose sister Nagina Khan is a member of KPK assembly, alleged that Nagina sold her vote for Rs 80m (8 crores) in Senate elections held in March this year.

Ayan in a press conference in Lower Dir on Tuesday told media persons that there was rampant corruption in PTI which reveals much about the 'change', the party was advocating, before assuming power.

The disgruntled worker said that his sister had sabotaged the party manifesto by selling her vote, adding that he had informed Chief Minister KPK Pervaiz Khatak and PTI supremo Imran Khan about her intentions but they did not act on a timely basis.

"Now it has been proved that 14 members of assembly sold their loyalties to other parties and my sister was one of them," he added.

Ayan asserted that PTI members were involved in numerous corrupt practices, alleging that his sister also received money for favourable appointments in the health department in Malakand division.
