Punjab Assembly speaker issues production order for Hamza Shehbaz

LAHORE - Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has issued production orders for Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Salman Rafique.

Hamza and Salman will attend the budget session starting today (Thursday).

Hamza Shehbaz is in National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) custody in connection to the Ramzan Sugar Mills and money laundering cases. The PML-N leader was arrested after the Lahore High Court rejected his request for extension in the interim bail.

Salman Rafique is also in the NAB’s custody in connection to the Paragon Housing Society scam along with his brother Khawaja Saad Rafique.

In the production order, it has been directed to make sure the presence of both MPA’s of PML-N leaders before the assembly meeting begins for the budget session.
