Put Hussain Nawaz's name on ECL, Sharjeel Memon challenges interior minister

KARACHI - Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sharjeel Memon on Tuesday urged Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to put Nawaz Sharif's son Hussain Nawaz's name on the on Exit Control List (ECL).

Hussain Nawaz is in hot waters as he is facing intensive interrogation by a joint investigation team (JIT) made by the Supreme Court to probe thr money trail of Sharif family in Panama case.

Following the investigation against Sharif family, former information minister Memon said that Nisar should take up some courage to bar Hussain Nawaz from going abroad, adding that Hussain's father [PM Nawaz] will not fire him for doing so.

Memon added that his name was placed on ECL even though there was no FIR registered against him.

Allegations against Sharjeel Memon

The PPP leader is facing two corruptions references, one relating to alleged award of advertisements at exorbitant rates and the other to illegal adjustment and consolidation of hundreds of acres of land in favour of a private housing projects.
