SC judges' grudge casts a shadow on Panamagate verdict: Nawaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD - Referring to the verdict of the Supreme Court in a review petition against Panamagate verdict, deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that he was already expecting a decision against him.

Talking to media outside the accountability court after his formal indictment and rejection of a plea to club the three corruption references, the words used in the verdict announced by the apex reflected the anger and grudge of the judges.

Saying several black chapters were written by the judiciary in 70 years, he said he expected nothing dif.

"Judges are filled with hatred," he said.

On Tuesday Pakistan’s top while dismissing the Sharif family' plea said the former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, was disqualified for trying to “fool the people inside and outside the the Parliament” by hiding his assets – the undeclared salary from his son’s company.

Lamenting over the today decision of the accountability court, he said: "today's decision will also be written in black words in history".

Pleading not guilty to the allegation levelled in three references regarding London flats, Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investment, Sharif added he was denied fair trial.

The accountability court on Wednesday rejected a petition filed by the former premier to club all three corruption references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Sharifs.

After announcing his decision in short order, the court has started proceeding to formally indict Nawaz Sharif in three reference. Earlier, the court had indicted him in his absence through his legal representative Zaafir Khan.

Nawaz and his family are facing three corruption references filed by the NAB in light of the Supreme Court's judgment in the Panama Papers case announced on July 28.

Pakistani currency remains marginally same against US Dollar and other currencies on April 20, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.5 for buying and 280.5 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
