'Solar' kids meet President Mamnoon at PIMS

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) - The much-publicized "solar" children currently under treatment at PIMS met President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad today.

On the occasion, the President presented gifts to them and inquired about their health. Doctors also briefed him on the children's medical condition.

Minister for CADD Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary who was present on the occasion apprised the President about the treatment of the children at PIMS.

Mamnoon Hussain appreciated the doctors at PIMS for doing their best but he advised that medical institutions in the developed countries should also be consulted to come out with concrete findings about this disease.

The "solar" kids Shoaib Ahmed and Abdul Rasheed suffer from a neuro-development disorder under which they lose energy as the sun sets.
