Sri Lanka appreciates Pakistan Navy’s efforts for regional maritime security

  • Naval Chief assures Pakistan will continue cooperation for training of Sri Lankan troops

COLOMBO – Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah on Wednesday called on Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena during an official tour to the country.

During the meeting, Sri Lankan president appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Navy for maritime security in the region.

Sirisena also acknowledged the cooperation extended by Pakistan Navy to Sri Lanka in the recent floods.

The Naval Chief provided assurances that Pakistan will continue cooperation for training the Sri Lankan troops of armed forces.
