ISLAMABAD – Maryam Nawaz has infuriated Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi by her policies of confrontation with state institutions and ‘self-seeking interference’ in the affairs of the party, claimed a senior journalist.

Talking to a private TV channel, the journalist claimed that the PM has directed Maryam’s ‘sycophants’ either mend fences with him or give up their positions in the cabinet “if they want to follow her orders”, adding that Ishaq Dar may also give his resignation soon.

“Seven ministers who were appointed by Maryam Nawaz have defiantly and categorically asserted their loyalties to Maryam Nawaz only, due to which PM Abbasi has also asked them to forsake their positions in the cabinet,” the journalist added.

The journalist further stated that PM Abbasi has also instructed the subordinate federal institutions and agencies not to interfere in the by-elections of NA-120.
