BENGALURU (Web Desk) – Indian cricketer Amit Mishra has been arrested by Bengaluru police on the charges of assaulting a women both  verbally and physically, said media reports on Tuesday.

Mishra is expected to get a bail in the case following a detailed interrogation by police.

In a complaint registered with the Ashok Nagar police station on September 27, a woman had alleged that she was in Mishra’s room on September 25 when he physically tortured her and assaulted verbally.

FIR has been registered against the 32-year-old cricketer from Delhi, of which, a copy has also been sent to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Mishra was summoned by the police and ordered to appear befor investigation officer with in seven days.
