LAHORE – On Wednesday The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the T20 and ODI squads for the upcoming tour to West Indies starting from March 26.

The teams were announced following a training camp held to determine the fitness of the players. PCB Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said Umar Akmal has failed to clear the fitness test, and therefore was not included in any team. He said 31 out of 32 primary squad members have been selected.

Sarfaraz Ahmed will lead the T20 and ODI squads. Kamran Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad and Sohail Tanveer have made a comeback in the 16-men squad.

Former Pakistan ODI captain Azhar Ali has been dropped from the ODI squad for his poor performance in the five-match series against Australia earlier this year.
