PSL 2019: Islamabad United face Lahore Qalandars face in opening match
DUBAI - The opening match of the Pakistan Super League 2019 (PSL) will be played between defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday (today).

The fixture is scheduled to start at 10:45pm. PTV Sports and Geo TV will broadcast live match from the stadium. You can watch live streaming and live updates on dailypakistan.com.pk

Mohammad Hafeez, the new captain of Lahore Qalandars, said that he will try his level best to turn the team’s fortunes in the tournament this time around.

Out of six matches, Islamabad won three matches while Lahore manages to win two and one resulted in a tie.

Qalandars will look on AB de Villiers, who is playing his debut PSL after retiring from international cricket for South Africa last year and Mohammad Hafeez, replacing former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum.

On the other side, Islamabad United, the winners of the 2016 and 2018 editions, also have a new captain in Mohammad Sami after they let go of Misbah-ul-Haq. Luke Ronchi, the most destructive batsman from last year’s PSL, will be back in action, as will a fit-again Rumman Raees.

Pakistani currency saw minor adjustment against global currencies on April 19, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.4 for buying and 280.4 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.2 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
