PSL3: Saqlain Mushtaq joins Peshawar Zalmi as bowling consultant

DUBAI - Legendary off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has joined Pakistan Super League's (PSL) defending champions Peshawar Zalmi as the bowling consultant for the third edition of the Twenty20 tournament, the franchise said on Saturday.

Head coach Mohammad Akram will now have the assistance of Mushtaq, who famously invented the Doosra delivery.

The franchise owner, Javed Afridi, took to Twitter to share the news:

The 41-year-old has previously had coaching stints with the England national team but has never been employed by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The 2018 edition of PSL kicks off in Dubai, UAE, on February 22.
