Galle – In an unexpected move, Zimbabwe thrashed Sri Lanka in the first One Day International (ODI) at Galle on Friday, with a sparkling chase of 317 runs.

Earlier, Sri Lanka set a huge total of 317 after losing five wickets in fifty overs. Kusal Mendis scored 86 runs on 80 balls. Gunathilaka also scored a fifty.
In return Zimbabwe achieved the target in 47.4 overs for the loss of four wickets.
Solomon Mire, Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza both played a role in achieving this huge total of 317. Solomon Mire scored 112 from 88 balls. Sean Williams scored 65 runs. Arsela Gunaratne dismissed both the players.
Later, Sikandar Raza took responsibility of this victory on his shoulders. He scored 67 runs facing only 56 balls. He was the only player from Zimbabwe side who hit a sixer. His companion Waller scored 40 on 29 balls. The Zimbabwe side ended the match with a huge sixer by Sikandar Raza.-Online
