Flight delay ends Saudi couple's marriage

JEDDAH (Web Desk) - A flight delay has ended the marriage of a Saudi couple, the Emirates247 reported on Monday.

The wife sought her husband’s permission to visit her sister in Jeddah. But he refused.

A few days later, the husband went to visit his parents in another city. The wife took this as an opportunity and booked a flight to meet her sister in Jeddah. She ensured the return flight landed her well before the husband could return from his parents.

Unfortunately for the wife, her return flight was delayed. The husband got mad at her and divorced her.

The couple were married for less than one year.

The story of the couple that has gone viral on social media attracted many comments and some blamed the wife for lying to her husband and going without his permission.
