The Snowman of Dubai takes the Internet by storm

DUBAI - A snowman posing with United Arab Emirates flags in Dubai has caused a storm on social media as the Gulf countries were hit by Arctic blasts and up to 10cm of snow.

Stunned UAE residents have been sharing their snaps and videos on Twitter to demonstrate the scale of the crazy weather. The UAE is usually known for scorching sunny weather all year round.

Temperatures plummeted to -2.9 degrees Celsius in mountainous parts of the country on Saturday, according to the UAE's National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.
