Hindu extremists burn Salman Khan's dummy

NEW DELHI - Hindu extremists and supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Sangeet Som have burnt dummies of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan at Khatoli town in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, for speaking against the ban on Pakistani artists in India.

According the Indian media, the workers of Sangeet Som Sena staged a demonstration in the town and threatened to boycott the Bollywood superstar's movies.

Recently, Salman Khan voiced his support for Pakistani artists, saying they are not terrorists.

Salman said there is a difference between artists and terrorists, adding that Pakistani artists work and travel to India on visas and permits issued by the government.

“In this day and age if we live in peace it is better for everyone especially the common man,” Salman said in response to a question.
