FIR registered over assault on women in PTI rally

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Police have registered a case against those who harassed women activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at its rally at Mall Road last night, local media reported on Monday.

"Civil Lines Police registered an First Information Report (FIR) under sections 147, 354, 506 and 394 of Pakistan Penal Code", Inspector Bushra Butt confirmed.

CCPO Lahore said the alleged harassers were identified via footage received from various sources.

“Their images have also been sent to NADRA for further investigation,” he said, adding separate teams have been constituted to look into the matter.
