7 killed as van plunges into river in Gilgit-Baltistan

ISLAMABAD – At least seven people were killed after a van fell into a river in an area of Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday.

The passenger van met the accident in Ghizer district. After the incident rescue teams rushed to the spot to save people from drowning.

However, six bodies have been recovered, while several other passengers are stated to be missing.

In July 2017, six people including a woman were killed when a passengers van fell into River Chitral. According to local rescue officials, the ill-fated van was its way from Arkari Lo Tikoh to Chitral and suddenly fell into river Chitral.
