Soldier killed as militants ambush Pak army patrol in Kurram Agency

KHURRAM AGENCY – Militants of proscribed terrorist groups on Monday ambushed patrol of security forces which led to the death of one soldier of the Pakistan Army.

The patrol was ambushed in the Yakhta area of central Kurram Agency on Monday, according to Dawn News.

A captain also sustained injuries during the exchange of fire that ensued after retaliation from the security personnel, the report added.

Reportedly, several suspected militants have also been killed in the exchange of fire.

Last week on, 14 passengers were killed in Kurram Agency when a van hit a landmine on its way to Sadda, Parachinar.

Among the dead were two census workers, five women, and four children.
