LAHORE – Faisal Edhi, son of late Philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi, also the chairman of Edhi Foundation had earlier this month been accused of sexual harassment by a woman.
Urooj Zia took to Twitter and claimed that she met Faisal when she was either 22 or 23 years of age. “To date, my husband is the only person I’ve told this to, but it is time for folks to know”. She shared her experience in a tweet with the world:
However, when the matter was brought to Faisal’s notice, he clearly denied all claims of harassment made by Urooj. “It’s a fake story,” he exclusively told The Express Tribune. “I don’t even know the girl. And I don’t even recall meeting her”.
The controversy did not end there it seems. The latest news is that Urooj has once again lashed out at Faisal for being a ‘predator’. She took to Twitter again to share the information she claims to have and is sure of. According to her, the children at the Edhi Foundation are not spared at the hands of Faisal and are in a hell of its own with sexual abuse being a common act inflicted on some of the minors and also on the vulnerable women who have no option but to survive there.

Urooj has been seeking help from the government but according to her, all the efforts are going in vain due to the fact that she cannot provide any witnesses.
