RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa signed the death warrants of 10 convicted terrorists, including celebrated qawwal Amjad Sabri’s killers, on Monday.
According to a communique issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists belonged to a banned terrorist outfit and were involved in heinous crimes, including an attack on a hotel in Peshawar and attacks on armed forces and law enforcement agencies.
The military’s media wing stated that the convicted terrorists were responsible for killing 62, including five citizens and had confessed to their offences before the magistrate and the trial court.

Amjad Sabri, the heir of world-famous qawwali duo Sabri brothers was gunned down in broad daylight by motorcyclists in Karachi on June 22, 2016.
His murder triggered outrage and people from across the globe mourned the loss of the matchless artist, who, just a few hours before his death recited kalaam with the heart-touching lines: Jab waqt naza aye deedar ata kerna (When I am on the verge of death, give me a glance of yours).
