RIYADH – Zilhajj moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, the Radio Pakistan reports on Friday.
According to details, the Saudi Supreme Court has confirmed the sighting of the moon.
Hajj will, therefore, begin on Friday the 9th of August. Pilgrims will spend the day on the plains of Mount Arafat on Saturday 10th of this month. Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated on Sunday the 11th of August in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the Central Ruet Hilal Committee of Pakistan will meet in Karachi this evening for the sighting of Zilhajj moon.

A meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee under the chair of Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman would be held in Karachi on Friday, August 2 (29, Zulqaida,1440,Hijri) for sighting the crescent of Zul-Hijja, said an official of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
