Court summons Rehman Malik in Benazir murder case on February 8

RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) Tuesday summoned former Interior Minister Rehman Malik to record his statement in Benazir murder case on February 8.

The hearing took place at Adiala Jail, where defence counsel of former President Pervez Musharraf completed cross examination of key prosecution witness Mark Seigel.

Rehman Malik will also record his statement with the ATC as prosecution witness, aimed at testifying against Pervez Musharraf to prove that it was former President who threatened to kill Benazir Bhutto in 2007.

Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated during electioneering in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.
