LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif reiterated on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia was amongst best friends of Pakistan as it stood by the country through thick and thin.

When asked by newsmen if the visit to Saudi Arabia was an attempt to secure an NRO type settlement, Shahbaz left the question unanswered and resorted to saying "for God's sake!".

He was also asked about his sudden dash to Saudi Arabia on a special plane to which the chief minister replied: Why are you dragging me in this debate of private or special plane?

Let it be known that the Sharif duo met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman late Monday night.

According to a statement issued, the former premier left for Madinah and visited Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) after the crucial huddle with the aspiring Saudi King.
