LAHORE (Web Desk) – A group of blind people staged a protest demonstration in front Punjab Assembly for granting a job quota, local media reported Monday.
As per reports, a group of blinds, led by their representatives, tried to march towards Punjab Assembly this afternoon; however, they were pushed and shoved by policemen who barred their way outside the assembly’s main gate.
Meanwhile, Punjab government claimed that the demand of blind people for increased quota in government jobs has been accepted.
The protestors were of the view that PML-N’s Punjab government has not allocated jobs for them contrary to the promise it made last year.
The visually impaired persons, till the filing of this report, refused to disperse unless they receive a notification in this regard.
