Ram Gopal Verma on Sridevi s life: Classic case of how each person’s actual life is completely different from how the world perceives it

NEW DELHI – Bollywood producer Ram Gopal Verma shared a candid open letter to Sridevi’s fans, revealing details that would come as a shock to many.

Ram Gopal Verma has directed Sridevi in many films like Great Robbery, Govindhaa Govindhaa and Hairaan.

He said she was “pretty much a very unhappy woman”.

The letter’s title reads “My love letter to Sridevi’s fans” and describes Sridevi as “pretty much a very unhappy woman.”

Verma shares an emotional and questioning story of the actress that has been unheard and unseen by the naked eye: “For many, Sridevi’s life was perfect. Beautiful face, great talent, a seemingly stable family with two beautiful aughters. From outside, everything looked so enviable and desirable… But was Sridevi a very happy person and did he lead a very happy life?”

Ram shares how Sridevi has built a “psychological wall” around herself to hide the pain that she went through everyday because she was scared of anyone knowing of her “insecurities.”

Ram discussed Sridevi’s life of being left penniless, finding a home in Boney Kapoor, and her unpleasent relationship with hwe mother-in-law who Ram claims beat Sridevi in a hotel lobby once, calling her a home breaker.

“She had to put on the makeup and be somebody else not just in front of the camera, but also to put a psychological makeup to hide her real self behind the camera.”

“From my personal experience with her, the only time I ever saw her in peace was in front of the camera that too only between Action and Cut ..That’s because she could cut off the harsh reality and escape into her own fantasy world.”
