CTD kills 9 terrorists in Sheikhupura

SHEIKHUPURA – At least nine terrorists of a banned organisation were killed in exchange of fire with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Sheikhupura on Tuesday.

According to the details, CTD personnel on an intelligence report that terrorists were present at the Muridke Road conducted an operation during which the militants opened fire. CTD personnel retaliated  due to which nine terrorist were killed while five others managed to flee the scene.

The CTD sources said that the terrorists were planning to target police and intelligence agencies offices in the city.

The CTD sources further informed that six kilograms of explosive material, four Kalashnikov’s, five pistols, dozens of bullets and five motorcycles were recovered from the dead terrorists.

CTD is in hot pursuit of militants now a days across the country. As part of the National Action Plan, law enforcement agencies have intensified the search operations in abid to thwart terrorism and militancy.
