KARACHI – Chairman of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced the sighting of the Muharram moon in the country here on Sunday.
The first of Muharram ul-Haram will be observed on October 3 (Monday) and Youm-e-Ashur on October 12 (Wednesday).
The committee held its meeting in Karachi under the chair of Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman and was attended by members of the zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees.
According to a government press release, first Muharram will be a public holiday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
