WEST PALM BEACH – An 84-year-old man landed himself in jail after reportedly stabbing his wife during an argument that began over the sloppy peeling of mangoes.
According to the arrest reports, Uriel Bradshaw was eating mangoes in one of the bedrooms in the couple’s home when his wife walked in. She became annoyed when she saw Bradshaw leaving parts of the mango on the floor.
An argument followed, during which Bradshaw stood up and lunged at the victim with a steak knife. The 65-year-old woman told police that he had stabbed her twice. Police could see fresh wounds on the victim’s right shoulder and chest.
Bradshaw, however, claims that he does not remember stabbing his wife. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bail bond.
Upon searching the residence, police found a knife and blood stains throughout the home. Bradshaw does not have any previous crime charges, according to court records.
