ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood will announce his affiliation with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Kashmir Solidarity Day, local media reported.
Reports said he will announce parting ways with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on February 5 in the presence of PTI’s chairman Imran Khan. All things have been finalized in this regard, between the top leadership of the PTI and Barrister Group. It is also expected that up to dozen PPP representatives of Azad Kashmir will join hands with PTI, reports added.
According to media reports Tulip Hall has been booked for ceremony to make the major announcement. The contacts between Barrister Sultan and PTI’s leadership have already been created political chaos in Azad Kashmir, as the development will not only damage ruling PPP but also the PML-N.
Reports also claimed that Chaudhary Ismael, Chaudhary Aziz and Yasin Bangash are also in contact with the PTI. After joining PTI, the role of Barrister Sultan will be quite important as he will have to reorganize the party in Azad Kashmir.
