MOUNT MAUNGANUI – India thrashed Australia by eight wickets to clinch record-breaking fourth ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup title on Saturday.
Given a lacklustre target of 217 by Australia, India sailed to a comfortable World Cup victory, driven along by an unbeaten 101 from Manjot Kalra. HM Desai contributed 47 not out.

Deciding to bat first in overcast conditions at Mount Maunganui, Australia, on the back of two strong partnerships and a fighting half-century from Jonathan Merlo, looked strong before their last six wickets were dismissed for 33 runs.
