KARACHI – Atlas Honda Limited (AHL) has lifted the price of three models of its motorbikes with the start of the new year amid depreciation of the local currency.
It has increased prices by Rs500-1,000 on the three models including Honda CG-125 and CG-125 Delux and 100cc Pridor. The new prices came into effect on Jan 1, 2018.
The company has raised the prices of Honda CG-125 by Rs1,000 to 107,500, while the new price of CG-125 Delux stands at Rs126,500 with an increase of Rs100,000.
The price of 100cc Pridor has been increased by Rs500 to Rs87,000, Dawn News reported, adding that the prices of other models were not changed.
He believed the recent rupee depreciation against the dollar was the reason behind the price hike.According to Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association, Honda sold 454,195 bikes in July-November 2017 compared to 374,558 units during the same period of 2016.
