Parts of Motorway closed as dense fog hits Punjab

LAHORE – Several sections of Pakistan Motorway have been closed for traffic due to dense fog on Thursday Morning.

According to Motorway Police spokesperson, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, Rashakai-Peshawar Sector of M-One, Kot Momin-Lahore Section of M-Two, Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad Section of M-Three, and Faisalabad-Gojra Section of M-Four have been closed for all kinds of traffic.

Multan-Khanewal Motorway has also been closed due to fog.

The fog also hit by fog, such as Mangamandi, Pitoki, Raynala Khurd, Okara, Lahore, Sahiwal, Harappa, Chichawatni, Mian Channu, Khanewal, and Multan.

Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Mureed Kay, Kamonki and Gujranwala were also affected by the fog. The Motorway Police want motorists to avoid unnecessary travel and use their fog lights.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that Punjab is expected to receive rain by the end of this week, which it assures will settle the fog.
