LAHORE – Pakistan Railways will purchase 800 hopper wagons from China by the end of this year for the transportation of coal.
According to the Ministry of Railways, the wagons will be purchased from Jinan Railway Vehicles Equipment Company Ltd and China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation.
These wagons would be utilized for the conveyance of coal from Karachi and Qadirabad coal power plants.
The Railways will save six billion rupees every year after the installation of these wagons in the organization.
